The Immigrants Parade was first held in 1986, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Statue of Liberty. Despite pouring rain, hundreds of participants from dozens of nations marched through lower Manhattan.
For four decades, the parade has grown into a vibrant showcase β with dances, music, floats, pageantry, and proud traditions from every continent. It is part of the annual International Cultures Celebration.
The 2026 parade marks the 41st edition β marching from 42nd to 57th Street on the Avenue of the Americas. Read our full history β
